What a wonderful and relaxing first night in Nova Scotia. We were so tired and you offered us a warm comfortable bed and a kind smile and a home away from home. God bless you and your family. Sindy & Denis Nanaimo B.C Canada

Anita and I picked this spot for our sisters birthday weekend. She loves cows and after spending time in the barn with John and Katie I now love cows as much as she does. Betty thank you for the time you spent explaining the farming process to this city girl who only thought of milk as the carton on the grocery shelf. Thank you both so much. Thank you for being such a good host and the two John’s for the interesting farming conversations. This has been our first visit to a B&B in Canada. We hope the others can be as good, yours will be hard to match. Jim & Catherine Scotland

We have stayed at B&B’s around the world and your exquisite B&B is second to none. You are a marvelous hostess and we really appreciated all the help with our genealogical research. Breakfast was always a delight and we eagerly looked forward to our morning chat. Your home is beautiful and we really enjoyed our room and lavish bathroom during our week stay. When we return to Nova Scotia we will definitely stay here. Thanks so much for everything. Take care and God bless. Nancy & Ray MA. U.S.

Thank you Betty and John and John , we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Shady Lane Farm. Thanks for letting us tag along for the morning chores. Your advice about the Tidal Bore was much appreciated and we’ll cherish fond memories of our stay here. The fresh “double yolker” was a perfect end to our visit. Thanks again. Out of all the B&B’s we’ve been to this has definitely been my favorite. I’ve fallen in love with all your animals especially Smoky, Duke and Jackson. I can’t wait to come back. I will definitely recommend this place to friends. Thanks John for making our trips to the barn an amazing experience. Thanks Betty, your breakfasts were delicious. Hope to see you soon. I truly enjoyed “The Udder Place” I grew up on a farm so I felt very much at home here. The separator on the front porch was my first clue that I would like it here. The breakfast was delicious. Homey and comfortable home away from home. Thank you and God bless. Sister Claradine WI USA

This will be a great memory. The breakfast was yummy and the view was amazing. It was a great experience watching the cows getting milked and feeling the bulls tongue. The calves were really cute but the horses were cuter as we went down to see them everyday. Smokey was cute doing his trick and Rosie was very shy so I didn’t see her much. Goodbye Banjo and Jackson, Duke and Jed, Smokey and Rosie and all the cows, calves and the bull. Hannah England
